A Simple Truth Tutorial

Open up all the materials and place them in the right places. Font to fonts, gradient to gradients,
images to psp file and so on. This tutorial was written for PSP 9.

1. Open a transparent image 640 x 480.

2. Go into your material properties and bring up the materials palette.

3. Foreground color #091e79 or choose your own

4. Background color #000000 or choose your own

5. Materials Palette - make a gradient with your two colors - Settings - Angle - 45, Repeats - 0,
Style - Linear. Invert - unchecked

6. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

7. Layers - Duplicate Layer

8. Effects - DBFlux - Settings - Slice Size - 5, Offset - 10, Blend - 50, Direction - Vertical

9. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1,
Color - Black

10. Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

11. Materials Palette - Opacity - 60.

12. Layers - New Raster Layer

13. Activate paint brush tool - bg text 6 and stamp 4 times. settings - Size - 500, step - 1, density - 100,
rotation - 0 - opacity - 80, blend - normal. color - #202020

14. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1,
Color - Black

15. Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

16. Materials Palette - Opacity - 50.

17. Open image 1 - monique - a simple truth. Edit. copy and paste as a new layer. Blend
Mode - Normal - Opacity - 100. Move to the left side of the background towards the bottom.

18. Layers - Duplicate image 1. Blend Mode - Normal. Opacity - 100

19. Open image 2 - dragonblu - a simple truth. Edit. copy and paste as a new layer. Blend
Mode - Normal - Opacity - 16.

20. Rater deform Tool. Stretch clock on all 4 sides til it cover your entire background.

21. Materials Palette - Move image 2 - clock under image 1.

22. Open image 3 - dieter - a simple truth. Edit. copy and paste as a new layer. Blend
Mode - Normal - Opacity - 12. Move into the lower middle of the background just about
touching the bottom tip of the clock.

23. Open image 4 - susan - a simple truth. Edit. copy and paste as a new layer. Blend
Mode - Normal - Opacity - 50. Move into the central right between the splits in the clock.

24. Open image 5 - angie - a simple truth. Edit. copy and paste as a new layer. Blend
Mode - Luminance (Legacy) - Opacity - 20. Move into the bottom right corner.

25. Image - Rotate - Free Rotate - Image 5 - Direction - Left, Degrees - Free - 45
Rotate single layer - checked.

26. Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

27. Materials Palette - Move Image 5 under Image 2.

28. Layers - Duplicate layer

29. Image - Mirror

30. Layers - New Raster Layer

31. Foreground color #091e79 or choose your own

32. Background color #000000 or choose your own

33. Materials Palette - make a gradient with your two colors - Settings - Angle - 45, Repeats - 0,
Style - Linear. Invert - unchecked

34. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

35. Materials Palette - Highlight new raster layer flood filled with gradient. Blend Mode - Soft Light  Opacity- 50.

36. Layers - Merge All Flat

36. Effects - Adjust - Variations - click on original and then click on lighter once.

37. Effects - Mura's Seamless - Shadow - Settings - Offset X - 132, Offset Y - 132, Color R - 0,
Color G - 0, Color B - 0, Effects - 255.

38. Effects - Xero - Seasons - Settings - Red Cut/Boost - 0, Green Cut/Boost - 5, Blue Cut/Boost - 5,
Effect Strength - 255.

39. Effects - Xero - Mistifier - Settings - Haziness - 128, Strength - 128, Red Mist - 255,
Green Mist - 255 - Blue Mist - 255

40. Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Clarify - Setting - Strength of Effect - 1.

41. Open image 8 - sbg text - a lifetime ago. Edit. copy and paste into selection. Blend
Mode - Normal - Opacity - 100. Move to the center of the background and just under the
horses close to the bottom.

42. Image - Add Border - 2 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg gold pattern sample or color of your choice.

43. Effects - Texture - Silverbeads fill - Settings - Size - 100, Smoothness - 0, Depth - 1, Ambience - -,
Shininess - 0, Color - White, Angle - 315, Intensity - 50, Elevation - 30.

44. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen. Selections - Deselect.

45. Image - Add Border - 6 pixels. Select with Magic wand.

46. Foreground color #091e79 or choose your own

47. Background color #000000 or choose your own

48. Materials Palette - make a gradient with your two colors - Settings - Angle - 45, Repeats - 0,
Style - Linear. Invert - unchecked

49. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

50. Effects - Penta - Jeans - Settings - Amount - 62, Border Width - 4

51. Layers - New Raster Layer

52. Foreground color #091e79 or choose your own

53. Background color #000000 or choose your own

54. Materials Palette - make a gradient with your two colors - Settings - Angle - 45, Repeats - 0,
Style - Linear. Invert - unchecked

55.. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

56. Materials Palette - Highlight new raster layer flood filled with gradient. Blend Mode - Soft Light
Opacity- 50.

57. Layers - Merge All Flat

58. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

59. Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Settings - Bevel - Straight (1), Width - 20, Smoothness - 2, Depth - 2,
Ambience - 8, Shininess - 18, Color - white, Angle - 315, Intensity - 37, Elevation - 37.

60. Selections - Select None.

61. Image - Add Border - 2 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg gold pattern sample or color of your choice.

62. Effects - Texture - Silverbeads fill - Settings - Size - 100, Smoothness - 0, Depth - 1, Ambience - -,
Shininess - 0, Color - White, Angle - 315, Intensity - 50, Elevation - 30.

63. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen. Selections - Deselect.

64. Image - Add Border - 30 pixels. Select border with magic wand. Edit - copy and paste into the selection
with sbg border background - a simple truth

65. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

66. Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Settings - Bevel - Edge (3), Width - 8, Smoothness - 0, Depth - 4,
Ambience - -30, Shininess - 0, Color - white, Angle - 315, Intensity - 50, Elevation - 50

67. Selections - Select None.

68. Image - Add Border - 2 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg gold pattern sample or color of your choice.

69. Effects - Texture - Silverbeads fill - Settings - Size - 100, Smoothness - 0, Depth - 1, Ambience - -,
Shininess - 0, Color - White, Angle - 315, Intensity - 50, Elevation - 30.

70. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen. Selections - Deselect.

71. Image - Add Border - 6 pixels. Select with Magic wand.

81. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

82. Materials Palette - Highlight new raster layer flood filled with gradient. Blend Mode - Soft Light
Opacity- 50.

83. Layers - Merge All Flat

84. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

85. Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Settings - Bevel - Straight (1), Width - 20, Smoothness - 2, Depth - 2,
Ambience - 8, Shininess - 18, Color - white, Angle - 315, Intensity - 37, Elevation - 37.

86. Selections - Select None.

87. Image - Add Border - 2 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg gold pattern sample or color of your choice.

88. Effects - Texture - Silverbeads fill - Settings - Size - 100, Smoothness - 0, Depth - 1, Ambience - -,
Shininess - 0, Color - White, Angle - 315, Intensity - 50, Elevation - 30.

89. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen. Selections - Deselect.

90. Text Tool - Settings - Create as - vector, Direction - up and down, Font - Scriptissimo, Size - 10,
Stroke width - 1, Font Style - Bold/Italic, Alignment - center, Anti-alias - sharp, Line style - solid. Type in your
name or initials.

91. Layers Palette - Select Vector layer and click on the plus sign in front of it. Click on the text and right
click your mouse. A menu will open up. Scroll up to properties and click on it. Stroke should be checked
and the little box should have your gold pattern in it. Fill should also be checked and should have your
black background color in it. Stroke width should be 1 and the line style should be solid. Visible
should be checked. Anti-alias should be checked. Once all these are correct click okay.

92. Layer Palette - Highlight your vector layer, right click on your mouse and convert to raster layer.

93. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow - settings: vertical 1 - horizontal 1 -
opacity 50 - blur 5 - color black. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

94. Layers - Duplicate Layer.

95. As an alternative you may use your watermark.

96. Layers - Merge all flat

97. If you are satisfied with your image then you are finished.

98. You are now all done and I hope you enjoyed this tut.
