Lost In The Rain Tutorial

Open up all the materials and place them in the right places. Font to fonts, gradient to gradients,
images to psp file and so on. This tutorial was written for PSP 9.

1. Open a transparent image 640 x 480.

2. Go into your material properties and bring up the materials palette.

3. Flood fill your layer with ww blues plus gradient - image 4 - sbg - gradient sample shows you
how it should look. Settings: Angle - 90, Repeats - 6, Style - Radial, check invert, Horizontal - 50,
Vertical - 50.

4. Effects - Funhouse - Twister - Settings: Twistencity - 47

5. Effects - DC Special - Rain 4 - Settings: Rain - 100, Wind - 25, Angle - 58, Scatter - 0,
Border to Center - 50, Opacity - 100, check fade, Random - check seed. Repeat. Repeat again
with these Settings: Rain - 100, Wind - 75, Angle - 110, Scatter - 65, Border to Center - 75,
Opacity - 100, check fade, Random - check seed. Repeat. Repeat 1 more time.

6. Layers - merge all

7. Open image 1 - patry - lost in the rain - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Move to the center. Opacity - 70. Blend mode - Luminance (Legacy)

8. Open image 2 - patry - lost in the rain - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Move to the center. Opacity - 100. Blend mode - Luminance (Legacy)

9. Layers - Merge all

10. Image - Add Borders - 2 pixels. - flood fill with image 3 - sbg - gold pattern.

11. Image - Add Borders - 11 pixels - flood fill with image 4 - sbg - gradient sample or with
the ww blues plus gradient - same settings as step 3.

12. Effects - Funhouse - Twister - Settings: Twistencity - 47

13. Effects - Simple - Diamonds

14. Image - Add Borders - 2 pixels. - flood fill with image 3 - sbg - gold pattern.

15. Selections - Select all - Selections - Modify - Contract 15 pixels - Selections - invert.

16. Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout - Settings: Vertical 1, Horizontal 1, Color - Black,
Opacity - 84, Blur - 15.00, leave fill interior unchecked. Repeat changing Vertical and
Horizontal settings to minus 1. Selections - select none.

17.To add your name go to font - VivaldiD - size 24 - stroke 1 - anti-alias - smooth. Use the color
or pattern or gradient of your choice. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow - settings: vertical 4 - horizontal 4 -
opacity 100 - blur 7.00 - color black

18. Position your name in the bottom right area where you would like to have it. Effects - FM Tile Tools
Blend Emboss - Default settings.

19. Selections - Select all - Selections - Modify - Contract 15 pixels

20. Layers - Duplicate background times two. Your layer palette should now show background,
background copy 1 and background copy 2 with an active selection.

21. In your layer palette click on the background layer and open rain template 1. Edit - copy -
paste into selection. Repeat paste into selection.

22. In your layer palette click on the background copy 1 layer and open rain template 2. Edit -
copy - paste into selection.

23. In your layer palette click on the background copy 2 layer and open rain template 3. Edit -
copy - paste into selection. deselect. Open animation shop.

24. Back in PSP, open bottom background layer - leave the 2 copies closed.
Edit - Copy merged.

25. In animation shop - Edit - paste as new animation.

26. Back in PSP - Layer palette - close bottom layer - open copy of background layer
Edit - copy merged

27. In animation shop - Edit - paste after current frame.

28. Back in PSP - Layer palette - close copy layer - open copy 2 of background layer
Edit - copy merged

29. In animation shop - Edit - paste after current frame.

30. In animation shop - Edit select all

31.In animation shop - Animation - Frame properties - change display time to 10 - click okay.

32. In animation shop - File - save as - name your animation - click save
This should bring up animation wizard - use settings below.

Standard settings selected, level 3
Optimizing for Animated GIF file
Optimized output will update the current animation
Write minimal frames
Use transparency for better compression
Collapse identical frames

Optimized image will contain 127 colors
No local palettes will be used
Generate palette by Octree
Map colors to palette via error diffusion.
All non-visible elements removed except for:
