Whirlwind Since I Saw You Tutorial

Open up all the materials and place them in the right places. Font to fonts, gradient to gradients,
images to psp file and so on. This tutorial was written for PSP 9.

1. Open a transparent image 640 x 480.

2. Go into your material properties and bring up the materials palette.

3. Foreground color #9eeef5 or choose your own

4. Background color #17676e or choose your own

5. Materials Palette - make a gradient with your two colors - Settings - Angle - 45, Repeats - 5,
Style - Radial.

6. Flood fill your transparent image with your gradient color.

7. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Setting - Radius - 30

8. Effects - Filter Gallery C - Sierpenski's Mirror - Settings - Scaling Factor - 185,
Fractual Power - 230

9. Layers - New Raster Layer

10. Flood fill new raster layer with #000000 - Blend Mode - Soft Light - Opacity - 100

11. Layers - Merge Down

12. Layers - New Raster Layer

13. Paint Brush - ww patry - still waiting - stamp new layer once in each corner and in the center.

14. Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black

15. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

16. Layers - Duplicate layer

17. Open image 1 - sbg - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the upper center of the background. Blend Mode - Normal

18. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

19. Open image 2 - sbg - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the lower left corner of the background. Blend Mode - Normal

20. Layer Palette - move image 2 under image 1 in your layer palette.

21. Open image 3 - sbg - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the middle right center of the background. Blend Mode - Normal

22. Open image 4 - sbg - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the right center corner of the background. Blend Mode - Normal

23. Tools Palette - Freehand - Feather 22 - draw a small tight circle around the top of the
woman's hair. Hit the delete key once - Select - None.

24. Open image 5 - suzi - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the right center of the background by the woman. Blend Mode - Normal

25. Layer Palette - move image 5 under image 4 in your layer palette.

26. Open image 6 - suzi - whirlwind since i saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the right corner of the background by the woman. Blend Mode - Luminance

27. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

28. Layers - Duplicate Layer

29. Move duplicate roses along bottom next to the first set. Lower them slightly to make it look
more natural.

32. Move duplicate roses along bottom next to the middle set. Lower them slightly to make it look
more natural in the left corner.

33. Layers - Merge All Flat

34. Effects - Mura's Seamless - Shadow - Settings - Offset X - 132, Offset Y - 132, Color R - 0,
Color G - 0, Color B - 0, Effects - 255. - Repeat

35. Adjust - Photo Fix - Digital Camera Noise Removal - Settings - Noise Correction - Small - 50,
Medium - 50, Large - 50, Link detail sizes - checked, Correction blend - 70, Sharpening - 2

36. Effects - Xero - Mistifier - Settings - Haziness - 130, Strength - 130, Red Mist - 0,
Green Mist - 0 - Blue Mist - 255 - Repeat

37. Effects - Adjust Variations - click darker once

38. Image - Add Border - 5 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg border gradient - whirlwind since i saw you.
Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - -1, Horizontal - -1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black -
Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black

39. Effects - Penta - Jeans - Settings - Amount 62, Border - 4

40. Effects - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow - Default Settings

41. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

42. Selections - Select None

43. Image - Add Border - 40 pixels. Magic wand - select border

44. Flood fill with sbg gradient sample - whirlwind since i saw you or the color of your choice.

45. Effects - Textures - Mosaic - Antique - Settings - Grid Settings - Number of Columns - 50,
Number of Rows - 50, Symmetric - Checked, Mosaic Settings - Tile Diffusion % - 70, Grout
Width - 2, Grout Diffusion % - 50.

46. Effects - Filters Unlimited 2 - Tile and Mirror - Kaleidoscope 2 - Divisions - 48, Variation - 192.

47. Effects - Adjust Variations - click darker once

48. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen - Selections - Select None

49. Image - Add Border - 5 pixels. Flood - fill with sbg border gradient - whirlwind since i saw you.
Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - -1, Horizontal - -1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black -
Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black

50. Effects - Penta - Jeans - Settings - Amount 62, Border - 4

51. Effects - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow - Default Settings

52. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

53. Selections - Select None

54. Open image 7 - sbg text - whirlwind since I saw you - Edit - copy and paste as a new layer.
Opacity - 100 - Move to the left top side of the background and position it in the middle.
Blend Mode - Normal.

52. Layers - Duplicate text image once. - Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen top layer only.

53. Open image 8 - suzi corner - whirlwind since i saw you. Edit - copy - paste as new layer.
Move into left upper corner.

54. Effects - Drop Shadow - Settings - Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 1, Opacity - 100, Blur - 1, Color - Black

55. Effects - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - Settings - Default

56. Layers - Duplicate Layer

57. Layers - Merge down.

58. Effects - Simple filter - Top Left Mirror.

59. Layers - Merge - merge all flat

60.To add your name go to font - P22 Imperial Script - size 20 - stroke 0 - anti-alias - smooth. Use the color
or pattern or gradient of your choice. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow - settings: vertical 1 - horizontal 1 -
opacity 100 - blur 1 - color black. You can also use the text tool and add your own text. I used
P22 Imperial Script font but you can use whatever font you prefer. Color - sbg border gradient sample -
whirlwind since i saw you.

61. Position your name in the bottom right area where you would like to have it. Adjust - Sharpness -
Sharpen.

62. Layers - duplicate - repeat

63. Layers - Merge all flat

64. Save your work. You're all done.
